"I first met Liz almost three years ago when I was looking for a therapist for my 10 year old son. He has been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, with ADHD, and most recently, with OCD. He also has some complicated health issues which result in extreme fatigue, and some pain.
We had recently moved to the area and my son was struggling with depression and social issues trying to fit in to a new community and school. Liz did an amazing job establishing rapport with my son. He had been reluctant to meet with a therapist, but she was so engaging and so willing to go wherever he led in activities and stories that he became quite eager to go to his sessions with her. She was fun!
Fast forward almost three years later, and he still feels that way. Except the bond has become much deeper as they have worked together on addressing many issues and challenges that confront him.
Liz has done an incredible job encouraging my son to deal with hard issues, and also in uncovering issues we weren’t aware of. Liz has proven to be quite versatile and creative in finding ways to do therapeutic work with someone who can be limited in his social and verbal skills. Together they have accomplished alot: my son has gained skills and techniques that he uses daily.
Liz has also been a wonderful advocate and supported me in being a better advocate for my son. I have been very impressed with how aware, and on target she has been with issues, some brand new, that arise for my son.
I can never express how grateful I am for her presence, and her work in our lives."
