| My passion and expertize lie in working with t'weens, teens and young adults on the autism spectrum AND their families. My style is dynamic, engaging and unconventional, using creative modalities to address therapeutic issues such as challenging behaviors, family conflict, depression, anxiety, obstacles to learning, and social isolation.
Targeting ASD related deficits such as lack of social reciprocity, perspective taking and emotional expression is an integral part of my work. Addressing regulatory issues that are impacting my clients’ ability to connect with others is also a strong point of focus. I help build each client’s social capacities from the inside out, which means that social skill acquisition is built on a foundation of a developing sense of self and a budding desire for relationships.
I provide individual, group and family therapy as well as parent and school consultation. I run weekly drama therapy groups at Bay Area schools and I also give workshops both locally and nationally to teachers and providers on my approach to working with clients/students with ASD.
